Greetings from Sibley Orchards! Because of this heat apples will not keep as long. Be sure to store your apples in the fridge and have a plan to use your apples quickly. Apples available at the fruit stand: Jonathan apples are tart apples. Because of the hot weather their texture be a little softer. Great for apple sauce and apple butter. We have only #2s Jonathan apples on Thursday, and more #1 apples on Friday. JonaGold apples are sweet-tart apple. They are a cross between Jonathan and Golden Delicious that are great for baking, apple sauce, apple butter, and eating fresh. Golden Delicious apples are a sweet, crunchy apple. They are great for apple sauce and apple butter. They are also great for baking, juicing, and dehydrating. We should have more Friday. #2 Apples are great for cooking and baking projects. For the best flavor and texture be sure to store your apples in the fridge. Apples avaialble as #2s: Jonathan and JonaGold. From the garden we have sweet potatoes and onions. We also have large and small mums. Hours: 10-4 Monday, 10-4 Wednesday-Saturday, 12-3 Sunday.
