Blackberries
We will have blackberries for sale starting around the middle of July.
 

Blackberries are great for pies, jam, and they are very easy to freeze.

Blackberry Ice Cream
2 pints fresh berries, 1 cup sugar, 1/8 tsp. salt, 3 c. cream, 3 tsp. lemon juice. Place berries in saucepan with sugar over low heat and covered. Raise heat, mash berries and simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Cool slightly, then strain through a sieve, pressing to exit juice. Stir in remaining ingredients and freeze.
